For the past 2 years my musical interests have been restricted to dark, twisted, evol drum&bass. If you don't know what it sounds like check out artists like Technical Itch & Decoder, Evol Intent, Spirit, Black Sun Empire or basically what most the ATL DNB Dj's play @ www.404audio.com This style of music has consumed me but latley I've been able to emerge from the abyss. I used to spin dark progressive tribal house and Nu-skool breaks, any thing with a tribal vibe. Its all good though. I think its an essential part of ones shamanic path to make some kind of music. If we are able to help others journey with the use of a simple deerskin drum and a rattle then we can work the masses with massive digital sound. Does anybody dj or play out in a band for the masses?

Yes to the second question...(about playing out for the masses)

Not sure what category to claim as a music genre...unless it would be original compositions plus experimental improvisations...these days instead of setting up multiple keyboards, I'm using mostly DAW(digital audio workstation)s controlled from alternative interfaces...

BTW - I liked what you posted about music being an essential part of ones shamanic path. I agree 100%

For the past two years or so I've been heavily into a new school of underground hip hop started by a group of individuals known as Anticon. www.anticon.com . Before Anticon I wasn't much for hiphop at all. This is the best music of our modern age as far as I'm concerned. It is completley innovative. The lyrics are some of the best poetry I've ever read. They're all very politically and mysticaly charged individuals, and there are lots of alchemical and masonic references. All in all very enlightened work. I highly reccomend it.

I found a used copy of Miles Davis's "Agharta" recorded in '75, in Japan, along with a sister CD, entitled "Pangaea", both are 2 cd sets, with lots of intense driving guitars, & horns, flutes, & saxaphones, on both.

Other works by the Great Bandleader from his fusion years include:
Dark Magus, Live Evil, Big Fun, Circle in the Round, On The Corner, Live at the Filmore, for sure, some of the best music you've ever heard.
